Notice of Water Rate Increase

Warren Community Water will implement a rate increase effective October 1, 2026, for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The increase will be reflected in the October bills due November 16, 2026.

For customers with a standard 3/4” tap, the minimum charge will change from $30.00 to $35.00 per month for 0 – 2,000 gallons. The tiered rate will adjust to $7.58 per 1,000 gallons for the next 8,000 gallons used. The Board finds that the increases in rates are reasonable and required.  Warren Water households pay less for water and services in comparison to other local water localities.  The new water rate chart along with a water rate comparison survey is included below for your review.

Why This Adjustment Is Necessary

  • Infrastructure Upgrades: Funding essential capital improvements, including replacing aging water mains and modernizing our treatment facilities.
  • Operating Costs: Offsetting rising expenses for materials, power, and skilled labor required to maintain safe, reliable daily operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Meeting ongoing safety and Ohio EPA standards to ensure clean water delivery. Warren Community Water received an $8 million allocation from a $65 million DuPont settlement in April 2026 to be used strictly for the implementation of a PFAS filtration system.

We recognize that any increase in your utility bill impacts your household or business budget. We have worked diligently to keep this adjustment as low as possible while ensuring the long-term reliability and safety of our water system.

Thank you for your understanding and for allowing us to serve the community.

Sincerely,

Warren Community Water & Sewer Association, Inc.
